    Always Shop Local in Conroe

    The National Retail Federation defines winter holidays as “months of November and December and cover major consumer shopping events such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.” As we enter the second month of the winter holidays shopping frenzy, it is estimated that consumers will spend an average of $902 per person in the 2024 season. This estimate is a 3% average increase over 2023.

    Community Celebrations

    The winter holidays strengthen family and community bonds like no other. Residents near and far use this time of the year to reconnect and celebrate the season together.

    Conroe is no different! What started in November extends into December as Conroe residents gear up for:

    • December 3rd - Tree Lighting Ceremony/Christmas on Main
    • December 14th - Christmas Around the World
    • December 14th - Conroe Noon Kiwanis Christmas Parade
    • December 14th - Toby Powell Christmas Celebration
    • December 20th - Live Nativity Festival

    Whether attending one of the events or simply strolling through the city, all allow shopping opportunities with Conroe’s local businesses. Local retailers, restaurants, and service providers add a flare to each purchase that is oftentimes overlooked.

    Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., make it a family outing and visit Main Street Market in Downtown Conroe. Farmers markets are one of the best assets in any community and a great resource for local shopping in one location. When you shop at a farmers markets, you:
