Paradise is Made Here Featuring Margaritaville Lake Resort

    June 26, 2024

Conroe’s natural beauty is best exemplified by the picturesque 21,000-acre Lake Conroe. The clean water and abundance of recreation and relaxation make it a scenic escape for all ages. On the western edge of the lake, Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston delivers an iconic slice of paradise. Featuring “the perfect blend of lake latitude and island attitude,” Margaritaville shows that Paradise is Made Here.

Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston opened its doors June 2020. The waterfront resort on 186-acres contains 303 luxury suites, 32 waterfront cottages, and a multitude of restaurants, bars, pools, and recreational activities. Home to extensive opportunities to enjoy the Texas sunshine, Margaritaville attracts visitors and creates bright smiles year-round.

“Almost everyone coming here is coming for vacation or recreation. They’re in a good mood right when they walk in the door. Our guests and customers really set the tone for paradise,” said Tom Faust, Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston Vice President Sales & Marketing. “It’s hard to even say Margaritaville without smiling.”

Three and a half hours away from 20 million Texans, Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston is a destination for paradise seekers. New and improved infrastructure around Conroe has made it easier than ever to get to Lake Conroe.

“Because of our location north of Houston, we’re easier to get to than other places. It’s a very strategic location,” offered Faust.

When travelers arrive at Margaritaville Lake Resort, they immediately take on the island vibe. Jolly Mon Water Park spans 3.5 acres with five pools, waterslides, a lazy river, and a splash pad. Ski boats, pontoon boats, paddle boats, jet skis, and kayaks are available for venturing onto the water. Larger groups can enjoy a party barge or lake cruiser that accommodates up to 75 people for memorable experiences on Lake Conroe.

The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort and St. Somewhere Spa allows guests to escape to the links or blissful relaxation. Pickleball courts and fishing tours add to the recreation options. New amenities, such as a train that navigates the resort, mermaid academy, and magic shows, bring kid and family-friendly activities and smiles to the resort.

“Programming is the key. People tease us and say, ‘You’re a cruise ship on land,’ and that’s kind of what we are,” Faust said. “We’re always trying to add more programming, more things to do to give people a reason to come back over and over again to enjoy the Margaritaville experience.”

The Margaritaville experience extends beyond leisure. Utilizing a 72,000 square-foot purpose-built conference center, the resort hosts many corporate events. Some 20 meeting rooms, most with views of Lake Conroe, and a pair of ballrooms totaling 17,000 square feet, offer space needed for conferences and events. Margaritaville-themed team-building activities and specially designed ergonomic chairs take the experience to the next level.

“We’ve got a saying here that goes, ‘serious learning and serious fun.’ Our conference center was purpose-built and designed specifically for serious learning. Then 50 feet away, everything is built for fun,” offered Faust.

The Texas Economic Development Council combined serious learning and serious fun by hosting their 2024 Mid-Year Conference at Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston June 5-7. Economic developers from around Texas traveled to Lake Conroe to enjoy an ideal corporate summer retreat in paradise.

“Margaritaville Lake Resort was a fantastic host for TEDC Mid-Year. The opportunity to connect with friends and learn from industry professionals in a setting like Margaritaville added tremendous value. We enjoyed showing off Lake Conroe and Margaritaville to our allies from around Texas,” said Danielle Scheiner, Conroe Economic Development Council Executive Director.

Idyllic Lake Conroe attracts visitors for a variety of reasons. Whether you enjoy outdoor recreation, restful relaxation, or family-friendly activities, you can enjoy it all on Lake Conroe–and more specifically at Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston. Let Conroe be your navigational beacon, because Paradise is Made Here.
