Small businesses are the backbone of communities across America. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) indicates that 99.9% of all businesses in the country qualify as small businesses, which employ 47.1% of U.S. employees. In addition to job creation, these businesses keep money with the local citizenry, build a critical tax base that allows for various local projects, and often play a significant role in defining a community’s identity. The small businesses of Conroe, Texas, actively contribute to these benefits, and the Conroe Economic Development Council (CEDC) is here to help them succeed.

This year, the SBA is hosting a virtual event filled with many activities, including localized events, targeted to assist and recognize small businesses.
