The Conroe Economic Development Council (CEDC) earned its third consecutive Economic Excellence Recognition from the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC). The 2020 award was announced during the TEDC’s 2021 Legislative Conference hosted online February 22-26, 2021.
The Economic Excellence Recognition program provides recognition to economic development organizations that meet a desired threshold of professionalism. Recipients qualify for recognition based on training taken by their governing board/council as well as the economic development director and professional staff. Certifications, professional memberships and activities, and organizational effectiveness of the economic development staff also contribute to the standards for qualification.
“We are honored to earn TEDC's Economic Excellence Recognition, especially for a more challenging year like 2020,” said CEDC Executive Director Danielle Scheiner. “Our board and economic development staff have an outstanding commitment to excellence for our business community, as illustrated by being distinguished on a state level for the third year in a row. We take pride in knowing that our professional diligence is appreciated among our industry peers.
