ProDirectional Continues to Thrive With New Facility in Conroe Park North

18 May 2015

ProDirectional, the full service directional drilling company headquartered in Conroe Park North, is creating a buzz in Conroe. It isn’t what they are finding underground that is causing the buzz, however; it’s what is now standing above ground.

In March, ProDirectional opened the doors to their new 105,000 sq. ft. facility in Conroe Park North. Moving from a 35,000 sq. ft. facility, also located in Conroe Park North, ProDirectional tripled their space. This impressive facility really has it all: a main shop building with an abundant amount of space and storage; a “dirty building” where they can bring and breakdown parts straight from the field; a board room and training room on par with those that you would find at Fortune 500 headquarters; and even an exercise room for ProDirectional employees.

The biggest benefit of the new facility is improved business productivity. “The new facility allows us to better maintain our fleet of equipment with a larger footprint of covered floor space. The increased facility size also gives us greater flexibility, operationally, to respond to the needs of our customers,” Vince Ekleberry, Chief Financial Officer, explains.

Ekleberry’s belief is that the larger, more efficient facility will eventually lead to growth. “The downturn in oil prices will shrink the field of competitors in this industry, but we now have the resources to capitalize on the new supply/demand dynamics when oil prices recover. We expect the future of ProDirectional to be positive growth.”

With a magnificent facility in place, ProDirectional has made the commitment to stay in Conroe. When asked why they chose to build again in Conroe, Ekleberry was quick to mention the support of the City of Conroe, Montgomery County, and the Greater Conroe Economic Development Council (GCEDC). “The City and County have been very supportive of ProDirectional since we were established here in 2001. Everyone, especially the GCEDC, show you how much they want you here with the work they do beyond their call of duty,” said Ekleberry.

Not only was ProDirectional drawn by the support of Conroe, Ekleberry says the location is truly ideal. “Conroe Park North has been a perfect fit for us. I applaud the work of the GCEDC in getting businesses to locate here. In fact, we have suppliers that are located right here in the park.”

ProDirectional, which employs over 200 people at their Conroe facility and nearly 400 people companywide, has become a leading independent provider of directional and horizontal drilling services through experienced employees, a customer-first approach, and the most dependable equipment in the industry. Their trademark blue motor with gold paint symbolizes their position as the industry’s gold standard. Now they have a gold standard headquarters facility to match.
