CONROE, TEXAS (April 14, 2020) – The Conroe Economic Development Council (Conroe EDC) earned its second consecutive Economic Excellence Recognition from the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC). The 2019 award was announced at the TEDC’s Winter Conference in College Station on February 20, 2020.
The Economic Excellence Recognition is awarded to economic development organizations that meet a desired threshold of professionalism. Recipients qualify for recognition based on training taken by their governing board, as well as the economic development director and professional staff. Certifications, professional memberships and activities, and organizational effectiveness of the economic development staff also contribute to standards for qualification.
“The TEDC’s Economic Excellence Recognition program is one of the ways in which our organization honors the outstanding commitment to excellence of our communities and regions, their leaders, and their economic development professionals have toward the professionalization of their economic development efforts,” noted Carlton Schwab, President and CEO of TEDC.
“We are thrilled to again be recognized by the Texas Economic Development Council as a recipient of their Economic Excellence Recognition,” added Danielle Scheiner, Conroe EDC Executive Director. “Our board and economic development team take immense pride in the work that we do and the level of professionalism that we demonstrate. It is rewarding to be distinguished on a state level and to know that our hard work is valued by our industry peers.”
