    Holiday Shopping is Made Here

    December 19, 2023

Conroe’s commerce and charm are turned up a notch around the holidays. With its festive decorations, fun family attractions, and abundant shopping selections, Downtown Conroe is an ideal gathering place. Unique merchants offer customers the opportunity to enjoy Conroe’s festive feel while finding that perfect gift for someone special. Holiday Shopping is Made Here.

The quaint streets of Downtown Conroe are adorned to celebrate the season helping to deliver the sense of community that many crave during this time of year. Downtown Conroe’s merchants embrace this by participating in the festivities and supporting one another. Brownlee Jewelers, one of Conroe’s oldest businesses, says it is easy to feel the Christmas spirit when you walk around downtown.

“When you come to Downtown Conroe, you’re going to immediately feel Christmas everywhere. We just roll out Christmas in every single store,” said Brownlee owner, Janice Parish.

Brownlee Jewelers has been serving Conroe for more than 90 years. Parish, who has run the business since the 1980’s, says Christmas at Brownlee is a special tradition for many of her customers.

“Customers come back to Brownlee because it is a tradition to shop here. It is an honor for us that people continue to shop at our store all these years. It’s always fun to see those familiar faces,” offered Parish. “We honor relationships. We honor family. Over the years we’ve proven that with our longevity of being able to withstand the rough years and still be on our beautiful corner in downtown Conroe.”

Parish’s experience as a small business owner also gives her a unique perspective on the importance of supporting small local businesses this time of year.

“Christmas is a bigger deal for a small store. For a lot of us, that’s where we hope to make enough money to last through the hard months when people are vacationing, not gift-buying,” added Parish. “It’s so important that people think about shopping small and supporting the families that operate these businesses.”

There are plenty of great options in Conroe when looking to shop small. From bakeries to boutiques and everything in between, you can find unique gifts that only exist at local establishments like Brownlee. The variety of specialty offerings combined with the special feeling of holiday spirit make Conroe the perfect place to do your holiday shopping. In Conroe, Holiday Shopping is Made Here.
