The City of Conroe considers safety to be of prime importance. Due to the importance of ensuring the safety of all Conroe citizens, a central dispatch office is located one mile from our industrial park and handles all fire, emergency, and police calls. The new 76,000 square feet, $26 million facility was completed in 2016 to house the police department, a state of the art dispatch office and a municipal court.
The Conroe Police Department is comprised of 131 sworn officers, 42 civilian employees, and numerous civilian volunteers.
The Conroe Fire Department is comprised of 125 certified Fire Fighters and 4 civilian employees. The department has raised its ISO rating to 2, providing significant insurance cost savings. Construction for Fire Station #7 will be complete in January 2018. The station will operate 7 fire engines, 2 ladder trucks, and a chief’s vehicle.
A new training facility is under construction in our industrial park. The $2.1 million project includes a three-story class A burn building, a six-story training tower, and a variety of other training simulations. Your employees and their families will be safe in Conroe.
